Patricia A. Jacobs

Westford - Mrs. Patricia A. (McBride) Jacobs, of Westford, died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at her home. She was 77. She was born in Waltham, a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Wallace) McBride. Her mother died when she was an infant and her father later married the late Mary (Kane) McBride. Patricia lived in Waltham for many years, graduating from Saint Mary's High School in Waltham and Saint Margaret's Hospital School of Nursing in Dorchester. For many years she worked as an emergency room and operating room nurse at Waltham Hospital, later becoming a supervisor at the hospital. She also lived for eighteen years in Lexington and had been a Westford resident for the past ten years where she was a kindergarten volunteer at the public schools there. Patricia leaves her children, C. David Jacobs and his wife, Valerie, of Tewksbury, Carol A. Jacobs of Westford and Christopher J. Jacobs and his wife, Elizabeth, of Lancaster; 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Hugh, John, Maureen and Joseph McBride, Louise Smith and Marjorie Williams. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Wednesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
