Patricia A. Kenney

Patricia A. (MacDonald) Kenney of Waltham and Onset, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at home. She was 74.

Patricia was born on April 1, 1938 in Lexington, a daughter of the late James and Anne (Doiron) MacDonald. A lifelong Waltham resident, she was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1956. On July 29, 1956 she married Norman E. Kenney in Saint Mary's Church.

Her professional career began at Polaroid Corporation and, later, in the Waltham School System as secretary in its Chapter 766 program. Lastly, Patricia worked in Human Resources at NEC Corporation of America in its Boxborough office for many years before retiring 1986.

Pat was a great cook. She loved her friendships in the Women's Group at Little Harbor Country Club in Wareham where she was a life member and past-president.

In addition to her husband of 56 years, Norman, she leaves her children, Norman E. Kenney Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Newton, Judy Kenney of Waltham and Maureen Kenney of Worcester; her grandchildren, Norman E. Kenney, III of Newton, Kristin Kenney Martin and her husband, Willis, of Needham, and RJ Kenney of Newton; her siblings, James MacDonald and his wife, Kathy, of Shrewsbury and Michelle Barry and her husband, John, of Waltham; and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Patricia's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, March 3rd from 2 to 5 pm and again on Monday morning where her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10 am.
