Patricia G. (Hart) MacDonald

Waltham – Mrs. Patricia G. (Hart) MacDonald, of Waltham, died on Thursday, September 26, 2019 surrounded by her children. She was 68.

Born on July 30, 1951 in Waltham she was a daughter of the late Bartholomew and Ariel (Morse) Hart. Raised in Waltham she was a graduate of Waltham High School with the class of 1969.

She married Jeffrey K. MacDonald (Waltham Fire Department) on October 27, 1973 and they were married twenty-four years until his death on March 22, 1998. Patricia worked for the City of Waltham in its business office for eighteen years as a bookkeeper before retiring in January, 2016.

Social by nature she loved time at their camp at Bow Lake in Strafford, New Hampshire and outings with friends to dinners and movies.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Donald Hart, Arlene Chiasson, Barbara Hart and Lawrence Hart.

She leaves her children, Jeffrey H. MacDonald, Waltham Fire Department (Lianne) of Framingham, Jennifer G. McClary (Robert) of Waltham and James K. MacDonald, Waltham Fire Department (Katelyn) of Framingham; her grandchildren Elise MacDonald and Jeffrey MacDonald II, Isla and Jameson McClary, Caroline and Natalie MacDonald; her siblings, Marilyn Doyle of Northboro, Virginia Simpson of Sandwich, Thomas Hart (Rosemarie) of Waltham, Pauline Larsen of Brockton and Norman Hart (Kimberly) of Bedford; her in-laws, Linette Hart of Maryland, Bernard Chiasson of Florida and MaryAnn Hart of Framingham and many nieces, nephews and their families.


Family and friends will honor and remember Patricia's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, September 30th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday when her funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
