Waltham - Mrs. Patricia M. (Walsh) Manning, of Waltham, died on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 86.
Patricia was born in Waltham on November 4, 1932, a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Layden) Walsh. She was a lifelong Waltham resident and had worked at The Waltham Watch Factory until her retirement.
In retirement she chose to remain active and went back to work for many years at Hannaford's Supermarket on Main Street where she loved interacting with her co-workers and the people of Waltham. Patricia had a wonderful sense of humor, was social by nature and made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed the occasional scratch ticket, solving crossword puzzles and her weekly Bingo game at Maristhill.
She was the wife of the late Leroy B. Manning is survived by her children, Gale Manning, Lynne Christie (Edward), Roy Manning (Kathleen Dumais), John Manning (Alison) and Joanne Manning; her grandchildren, Brad Edward Christie (Jessica), Clint Manning, Ryan Manning and Kevin Manning; her brother, Steve Walsh and also leaves many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was the sister of the late Rita Collins, Thomas Walsh and James Walsh.
Funeral services are private.
