Patricia A. Rice

Waltham - Miss Patricia A. 'Pat' Rice of Waltham died Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Carleton Willard Village in Bedford. She was 70. Born and raised in Waltham, a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Smith) Rice, she worked for thirty-seven years as a secretary for Varian Associates in Burlington. She was the sister of the late Margaret Rice and Jean Davidson. She is survived by one sister, Eileen C. Putney of Bedford; two brothers, William E. Rice of Newton and John F. Rice, Jr. of East Lyme, Connecticut and many devoted nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral service from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Beacon Hospice, 529 Main Street, Charlestown, MA 02129 or to The American Lung Association, 5 Mountain Road, P.O.
