Hudson – Patricia E. (Flanagan) Sears, of Hudson, died at home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She was 78.
Patricia was born in Newton on January 5, 1940, a daughter of the late John J., Sr. and Marie E. (Liggett) Flanagan. She was a graduate of Newton High School and had lived in Waltham before moving to Hudson twelve years ago where she was an active participant in senior center activities.
Until her retirement she worked in the finance office of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and before that worked for many years as a data analyst for Computer Associates in Waltham.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Sears of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Paul Sears (Silvana) of Sharon, Kelley McDonald (Jeffrey) of Waltham and Marie Giunta (Christopher) of Sudbury; her siblings, Walter Flanagan of Jupiter, Florida, Marilyn Flanagan of Newton and Barbara Coffey of Attleboro; grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Patricia was also the mother of the late Jack Sears, Jr. and sister of the late Eleanor Jensen, John J. Flanagan, Jr., Paul Flanagan, Claire Peterson and Ralph Flanagan.
Family and friends will honor and remember Patricia's life by gathering for calling hours on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham before leaving in procession to Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, 270 Elliot Street, Newton where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
