Weston – Mrs. Patricia (Walsh) Sennott, of Weston, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, September 23, 2021. She was 95.
Patricia was born in Holyoke on December 14, 1925, a daughter of the late Maurice and Clare (Lally) Walsh and was raised in Newton.
She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Newton Centre. She later earned her bachelor's degree from Seton Hill College in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and her master's degree in education from Framingham State College.
Patricia spent more than forty years working for the Brookline Public Schools as a teacher and as a dietician. Well known in her field she was a member and past president of the Massachusetts School Food Service Association and was a member of the board of directors of the national association. She also belonged to the Massachusetts Teachers Association.
A Weston resident for sixty plus years she was a parishioner of Saint Julia's Church where she also did volunteer work and served as a lector.
She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Sennott and is survived by her son, Peter J. Sennott (Mary) of Westwood; her grandchildren, Kevin, Michael, Patrick and Jillian Sennott and also leaves many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was the mother of the late Edward J. 'Ned' Sennott, Jr. and sister of the late Clare Cary and Gertrude Crowley.
Family and friends will honor and remember Patricia's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, September 30th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Julia's Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Weston
