Patricia A. (Curtis) Wanberg

Waltham – Mrs. Patricia A. "Pat" (Curtis) Wanberg, of Waltham, died Friday, August 7, 2015 at Lexington Healthcare Center. She was 80.

Pat was born in Waltham on June 16, 1935, the youngest of four children born to the late Theodore J. and Mary C. (Farrell) Curtis. When both parents died at an early age the children went to live with relatives who raised them. The great gift that flowed from that tragedy was that the siblings formed a tight bond that they maintained throughout their lives. Pat was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Waltham.

Until her retirement she worked as a telephone operator for the Raytheon Company at the Sudbury plant. She lived in Waltham before moving to Marlborough in 1983 and then to Lakeland, Florida where she lived before returning to Waltham in 2002.

Pat was possessed of a very engaging personality and easily made friends wherever life's journey took her. She loved being sociable and enjoyed the company of her family and her friends, her contemporaries when she lived in 'The Mill' on Moody Street and her fellow travelers at Lexington Healthcare.

The wife of the late Paul G. Wanberg, Jr., she leaves her children, Donald J. LeBlanc and his wife, Aimee, of Waltham and Deborah J. Snow and her husband, Philip, of Greenwood, Maine; her grandchildren, Toni Lyn Vacca, Rachel Carroll and Allison Carroll; her great-grandson, Benjamin Milazzotto and nieces and nephews.

Pat was also the mother of the late Michelle A. LeBlanc and Diane M. Woodward and sister of the late Paul E. Curtis, J. Warren Curtis and Frances M. Kinney.

Family and friends will honor and remember Patricia's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, August 10th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
