Waltham— Mrs. Patricia A. (Vitacca) Yarossi, of Waltham, died Monday, August 22, 2022 in the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading. She was 86.
Patricia was born in Brooklyn, New York, on December 3, 1935, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Ann (Albino) Vitacca. She had worked as a laboratory technician at Saint Vincent's Hospital in New York until her marriage to Richard A. Yarossi. The pair made Waltham their home in 1966 where they have been residents ever since.
She earned her practical nursing diploma from the former Waltham Hospital School of Nursing and had worked as the beloved camp nurse at Camp Cabot and was a para-professional for students with special needs in the Waltham Public School system until her retirement.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Richard A. Yarossi, her daughters, Courtney A. Goguen and Christina L. Corbett (Michael), all of Waltham and her grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, and Taylor Goguen, and Matthew and John Davis; her step-grandchildren, Grace, John, and William Corbett; and her great-grandson, Brayden.
Patricia was also the grandmother of the late Ryan Davis.
Family and friends will honor and remember Pat's life by gathering for calling hours on Tuesday, August 30th from 4 to 7 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham and again on Wednesday at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
