Patrick L. Long

Waltham - Mr. Patrick L. Long, of Waltham, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in is home. He was 91.

Pat was born in Fort Kent, Maine, on June 5, 1923, a son of the late Leo and Marie (Martin) Long.He was a graduate of Fort Kent High School and during World War II he worked in the shipyards in Quincy with his two uncles. Later, he worked in the banking industry for over thirty years where he was employed by the First National Bank of Boston.

Pat was the husband of the late Joyce M. (Mealey) Long and the brother of the late Leo Lucien Long.

He is survived by his nephew Jeremy Long and his wife, Kathleen, of Wakefield; his niece Allison Eagles and her husband, Michael, of Florida and also leaves grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.

Family and friends will honor and remember Pat's life by gathering to visit on Tuesday, November 4th, at 10 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, Waltham, where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
