Salem, NH – Mr. Paul F. David, of Salem, New Hampshire, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, June 18, 2022 in his home. He was 67 years old.
Paul was born in Boston on December 15, 1954, the son of the late Francis David and Eva (Landry) (David) McCumiskey. Raised in Waltham he was a 1973 graduate of Waltham High Vocational School. Paul and his family were longtime members of Saint Joseph's Parish in Waltham.
A move nineteen years ago brought his family to Salem, New Hampshire where he quickly became an active member of the community. He was a communicant of Saint Joseph's Church in Salem where he was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was also a member of the choir. He loved volunteering with all of his children's sporting events and with the Salem High School band where he and his wife, Debra, were members of the Parents Music Club.
Paul loved being outdoors whether he was camping with his family or enjoying a ride on his motorcycle. A much anticipated event was 'Motorcycle Week' in Laconia— a yearly tradition for him and his son, Frankie. Wherever the place and whatever the activity, Paul was happiest when he was with his family and always loved a big family gathering.
In addition to his wife, Debra M. (Calabufalo) David, he leaves his children, Alisha K. Ratta (Joe) of Southborough, Francis J. "Frankie" David (Amy) Marlborough, Sabrina R. David, and Matthew E. David, both of Salem, New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Joseph Ratta, John Paul Ratta, and Harley David; his sisters, Helen David, Patricia Johnsson, Donna David, and Gail David, all of Waltham; his sister-in-law, Joy Foley (Bill) of Hudson, New Hampshire and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends will honor and remember Paul's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, Rte. 20, Waltham, on Sunday, June 26th from 2 to 6 p.m. and again Monday morning at 10 a.m. before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Following cremation burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham, at a later date.
