Waltham - Mr. Paul E. Gorman of Waltham died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 76. Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, a son of the late Edward and Hazel (Berry) Gorman, he had lived in Waltham for the past 50 years. Until his retirement, Mr. Gorman worked as a tool and die maker. During World War II he served with the U.S. Navy and during the Korean Conflict he served with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was an active member of the Shriners and belonged to the Aleppo, Becktash and Palestine Temples. He was also a member of the Dalhousie Masonic Lodge in Newtonville and the General Knox and St. John's Masonic Lodges in Boston. He also belonged to the Waltham Elks, the Natick Amvets, the VFW and the Oddfellows Lodge. Mr. Gorman is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Waitkus) Gorman; one daughter, Michelle S. Gorman of Waltham; his step-children, Eugene Gallant of Peabody, William Gallant of Waltham, Stephanie Mackey of Framingham and 6 step-grandchildren. He was also the step-father of the late John Gallant. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Rev. Robert F. Hoaglander will officiate. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 p.m. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
