Watertown – Paul G. Nichols, of Watertown, formerly of Waltham, died on Tuesday, September 9, 2021 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 59.
Paul was born in Oakland, California on September 7, 1962. He was raised in Waltham by Gaetano 'Tom' and Marion (Walsh) Taranto and graduated from Waltham Vocational High School in 1980.
He worked as a dispatcher for many years at JSC Transportation in Waltham. He was patriotic, and passionate about supporting those who served this country and those who served our communities. To honor Paul's memory, his family said he would want people to be kind to each other and thank and honor a veteran.
Paul was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 156, a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Waltham and involved in Waltham Pop Warner for many years volunteering his time to video hundreds of games. He loved country music, especially Toby Keith, and above all, spending time with his wife Diane, and his family.
He leaves his loving wife Diane Nichols, of Watertown; his children, Lori Camilli-McPhee (Dan) also of Watertown, and Christopher Fuller (Cathy) of Vergennes, Vermont; his grandchildren, Luke, Anthony, Mathew, Nick, and Emma; his siblings; Lorne Vegkley (Dee) of Texas, and Kathleen Thompson (Wade) of Hudson, New Hampshire; his Uncle & Aunt Angelo & Mary Taranto of Chelmsford; his Cousins Tom & Lisa Taranto, Mark & Marcia Taranto, Kathy & Don Stewart, Cheryl & Wayne Pelletier, Michelle & Rick Poulin, Jay & Jan Taranto, Brian & Michelle Taranto, Nancy & Jim Foley and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
