Center Barnstead, NH - Mr. Paul A. Ouellette, of Center Barnstead, died Monday, October 26, 2009 at Children's Hospital in Boston. He was 22. First diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma in the spring of 2008, Paul fought the disease without complaint and with a large dose of bravery. Following treatments and a remission that lasted several months the cancer returned earlier this year. Despite his illness, Paul remained courageous throughout and continued to be the warm, loving, kind and generous son and brother who inspired his family with his strength, wit and unselfish spirit. Paul was born in Laconia, New Hampshire on April 18, 1987 and moved to Waltham as a child. He and his family moved back to New Hampshire, settling in Center Barnstead, fifteen years ago. He attended school in Waltham and in New Hampshire. As a youngster he excelled in basketball and loved to fish in the lakes region of his home state. He loved being with his family and enjoyed a special relationship with his two older brothers. He spent lots of time with them riding dirt bikes and in the wintertime snowmobiling at their grandparent's cottage in Pittsburgh, New Hampshire. He took special care of his dog, Lilly and enjoyed strapping on his tools to help his Dad with construction projects around the house. The two of them could also often be found in front of the television watching re-runs of Bonanza and Gunsmoke. He leaves his parents, Jay A. and Lauralee R. (Allen) Ouellette; his brothers, Karl A. Ouellette of Waltham and Roy A. Ouellette of Loudon, New Hampshire; his grandparents, Adrien and Barbara (Pickering) Ouellette of Nashua, New Hampshire and William and Irene (Barney) Allen of Waltham; his niece, Bryanna Ouellette and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
