Waltham - Mr. Paul H. Rumpf, of Waltham, died Monday, June 15, 2009 at Meadow Green Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waltham. He was 86. Paul was born in Boston on August 14, 1922 and had lived in Roslindale before moving to Waltham in 1956. During World War II he served with the United States Coast Guard. After the war he became a court reporter and had worked at various courts in eastern Massachusetts. He later became the Director of Public Utilities for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts until his retirement several years ago. Paul was a member of the Simon W. Robinson Masonic Lodge in Lexington and the P.F.C. John M. Sullivan V.F.W. Post No. 10334 in Waltham. Paul was the husband of Julia (Pavlic) Rumpf. Family and friends will honor and remember Paul's life by gathering at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton on Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m. for his graveside service.
