Paul N. Tosti

Mr. Paul N. Tosti, of Wellesley, died peacefully on February 1, 2020 in the Elizabeth Seton Residence with his family by his side. He was 88.

Paul was born in Newton on February 12, 1931, the son of the late Nicholas and Josephine (Bontempo) Tosti. After graduating from Watertown High School he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served during the Korean Conflict. On August 14, 1955 he married Catherine M. Conti in Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Newton. The pair lived in Newtonville for a time before settling in Wellesley where they would raise their three boys. Before his retirement he had worked at the New England Telephone Company which later became Verizon.

Paul enjoyed spending time tending to his yard, which he maintained meticulously, and afternoons spent with his grandsons by his pool. Some of the family's happiest memories were from their trips from Wellesley to Disney World in a motor home.

He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-four years, Catherine M. (Conti) Tosti; his sons, Paul N. Tosti, Jr. and his wife, Iara, of Weymouth, Stephen M. Tosti and his wife, Donna, of Wellesley and Wayne M. Tosti of Sunrise, FL; his grandsons, Nicholas Tosti, Michael Tosti and Paul Tosti, III; his sisters, Connie Dearborn of Acton, Joanne Valletta of Wellesley, Barbara Tosti of Waltham and Carolyn Raimondo of Waltham and also leaves many nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Paul's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, February 7th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving procession to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington Street, Newton where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery.
