Waltham – Mr. Paul J. Trudeau, of Waltham, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was 84.

Paul was born in Waltham on January 2, 1934, a son of the late Lionel and Adeline (Rheaume) Trudeau, and a lifelong resident of Waltham. He graduated Saint Charles High School where he was a football standout and served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked most of his career as a technical engineer at Polaroid Corporation and was a member of The Polaroid Retirees Association.

Paul married his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth "Bette" (Crowe) Trudeau. Paul and Bette spent 58 happy years together. In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves his children, Mark Trudeau of Naples, Florida, Christopher Trudeau of Waltham, David Trudeau and his wife Susan, of Acton, and Matthew Trudeau and his wife Clair, of Concord. He was the proud Pops of Allie, Jonathan, Arden and Sean Trudeau - all of whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that loved him as Uncle Paul.

Paul's favorite days were spent with family. He and his family spent many happy summers in Mattapoisett and, following his retirement, also spent many happy winters in Naples, Florida.

Paul was brother to Theresa Longland of Sudbury, and to the late Louise Bergen, Lionel Trudeau, Alice Burdette, Ernest Trudeau, Roland Trudeau, Lorraine Demers, Claire LeBlanc, Jeanne Hoener, and Joseph Trudeau.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Paul's life during visitation hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, April 2nd from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
