Waltham Mrs. Pauline T. (Ronayne) ODonoghue of Waltham died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 72. She was the devoted wife of Daniel E. ODonoghue to whom she had been married for 49 years. Born in Boston in 1932, a daughter of the late Pierce and Teresa (OBrien) Ronayne, Pauline attended Somerville schools and graduated from the Katharine Gibbs School in Boston. Polly worked as a secretary at Ionics in Cambridge before marrying Dan ODonoghue in 1955. She moved to Waltham in 1960, where she was a homemaker and raised three children. When her children left for college, Polly went to work at Bay State Eye Associates in Waltham. Possessed of a wicked wit, Polly was a voracious reader, a self-taught musician who sang and played the guitar and piano, and was a great animal lover. She relished time spent at her second home on Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, New Hampshire. In addition to her husband, Polly is survived by her children, Steven ODonoghue and his wife Kim of Norwood, Janet ODonoghue and her husband Patrick Noe of North Quincy and Dianne ODonoghue and her husband Stewart Woodward of Waltham; her grandson, Griffin ODonoghue and her excitable dog, Boone. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 8 a.m. Saturday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
