Waltham- Mrs. Peg Donahue of Waltham died Monday April 5, 2004 in Mount Auburn Hospital. Born in England, a daughter of the late Patrick and Katherine (McGuinness) Hegarty, she was the former president of Waltham Nippers Womens Auxiliary, a twenty year volunteer for Meals on Wheels, longtime volunteer at Saint Marys Church in Waltham, a 40 year member of Mount Trinity Bowling League in Waltham, a member of the Mothers guild of Mount Trinity, Saint Domonics Academy in Belmont, Xavier High School in Concord and Boston College High School in Dorchester. Mrs. Donahue was the wife of the late Edward M. Donahue. She is survived by three sons Edward P. Donahue and his wife Claire of Walpole, Peter M. Donahue of Falmouth, and Joseph T. Donahue and his wife Elizabeth of Hingham, one brother Patrick Hegarty of Newton, three grandchildren Francis, William, and Eleanor, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, 133 School Street Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:30 p.m. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Edward and Peg Donahue Scholarship Fund, c/o Boston College High School, 150 Morrissey Blvd. Dorchester, Mass 02125.
