Peter Curtis Bookheimer

Mr. Peter Curtis Bookheimer passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 3, 2018 in his home in Waltham, Massachusetts. He was 59 years old.
Peter was born in Abington, Pennsylvania on July 13, 1959, the son of William C. Bookheimer and the late Helen (Yost) Bookheimer. He grew up in Southampton, Pennsylvania and Syracuse, New York. Peter graduated from Nottingham High School in Syracuse and went on to earn a Bachelors degree from Brown University and a Masters degree from the Columbia University School of International Relations. He spent most of his life working as a carpenter, builder and restorer of historic homes.
In his free time Peter was an avid reader and a superior cook. He loved Cape Cod and would spend as much time as he could fishing, swimming and relaxing on the beach. He also treasured spending time on Lake Ontario with his family. Peter was intelligent, funny and a truly caring human being who will be sorely missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Michael Brown; his father and step-mother, William and Nancy Bookheimer; his siblings Ross and Susan Bookheimer and three nieces and a nephew.
