Peter Mark Canepari, of Wilbraham, formerly of Waltham, entered into eternal rest on Sunday November 2, 2014 at Wingate in Sudbury in the arms of his mother and sister after a courageous 16 month battle with cancer. He was 59.
Peter was born in New Haven, Connecticut on May 26, 1955, the son of Eleanor Wesley Canepari of Waltham and the late Peter Canepari. He graduated from Waltham High School in 1973 and then went on to study at Northeastern University. For many years he worked with his father at Barry Controls in Watertown, then for the Wilbraham School Department as a maintenance supervisor and most recently as a manager at the Salvation Army in Springfield.
Peter was a gentle man and a gentleman. He gave selflessly of his time and was generous in all ways. His smile will be remembered by all who knew him. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to all the staff of Mass General Hospital, Spaulding Rehab in Cambridge, Wingate at Sudbury and Armstrong Ambulance whose compassion and care will always be remembered.
Besides his mother, Eleanor, he is survived by his sister, Claudia H. Canepari of Waltham and his children, Jennifer and Mark Canepari both of Wilbraham.
He was the father of the late Angela Canepari and son of the late Peter Canepari.
Funeral services are private.
