Peter Morton

Weston - Mr. Peter Morton, of Weston, died Thursday April 13, 2006 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 79. Born in Lowell, a son of the late Howard and Helen (Johnson) Morton, he had lived in Weston for the past forty-two years. Peter was a volunteer and driver for the 'Friends in Service Helping' program for the Weston Council on Aging and he was a graduate of Thayer Academy in Braintree. He leaves his beloved wife of fifty-four years, Joanne F. (Shea) Morton; his loving children, David P. Morton and Elizabeth M. Gay both of Newton, and William J. Morton of Weston; and three grandchildren, Ben, Lauren, and Sarah. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Saint Peter's Episcopal Church, 320 Boston Post Road, Weston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
