Peter J. Straggas

Waltham – Mr. Peter J. Straggas of Waltham died on Tuesday February 10th at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 85. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late John and Constance (Harris) Straggas. Mr. Straggas was a lifetime resident of Waltham where he worked as a custodian for Brandeis University for many years. He had been a member of the Moose Lodge and the Senior Citizens Group of Waltham. He leaves his wife, Albina G. (Duggan) (McQuillan) Straggas of Waltham. He was the step-father Charles McQuillan of Waltham and Thomas McQuillan of Manomet and the late Phyllis Jean McQuillan. He was the brother of Christopher Straggas of Charlton and the late Steve and Harry Straggas and Ann Cardillo. He is also survived by a sister, Nora Koronas of Cambridge, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 10 a.m. Saturday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Service in the Greek Orthodox Church (Taxiarchae), 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown at 11 a.m. Visiting Hours are Friday 2 to 4 p.m. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Newton.
