Philip J. Collura

Waltham - Mr. Philip J. Collura, of Waltham, died Monday, February 20, 2012 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 53.

Phil was born in Brighton on December 31, 1958, a son of the late Joseph and Justine (Mahoney) Collura and had lived most of his life in Waltham. He worked in the food service business and was an avid comic book, DVD, and coin collector.

He is survived by his brothers, Thomas Collura of Norwood and Joseph Collura, Jr. of Leominster; his sisters, Gail Collura of Lexington and Karen Healy and her husband, Kevin, of Waltham and his nieces and nephews, Casey Healy, Christopher Healy, Jeffrey Healy, and Cody Scott.

Family and friends will honor and remember Phil's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, February 24th, from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
