Waltham— Mr. Philip Pintabone, of Waltham, died Monday, May 16, 2022 in his home, ten days shy of his 102nd birthday.
Phil was born in Waltham on May 26, 1920, a son of the late Carmelo and Erminia Mary (Francesco) Pintabone. Raised in Waltham, he was a graduate of Waltham High School and after that served with the United States Army during World War II.
Until his retirement he worked for years at the Raytheon Company as a production control specialist.
Phil was predeceased by his wife, Theresa "Terry" (Bahros) Pintabone who died on December 29, 2014, and his siblings, the late Frank Pintabone, Charles Pintabone, Mae MacLennan, Jeannette Reebel, and Louise Noah.
He leaves his daughters, Phyllis Pintabone and Patrice Pintabone, both of Waltham, and Diane Pintabone of Lakewood, California; and his brother Robert Pintabone.
Family and friends will honor and remember Philip's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, May 26th from 5 to 7 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning when his funeral service will be held. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
