Phyllis M. (Landry) Cincotta

Phyllis M. (Landry) Cincotta, of Waltham, died at home on Friday, November 3, 2023. She was 93.

Phyllis was born on August 4, 1930 in Waltham, a daughter of the late Emery and Melissa (LeBlanc) Landry. A resident of both Malden and Waltham, she married Bernard K. Cincotta on September 11, 1955, in Waltham at St. Joseph’s Church. After 21 years of marriage, Bernard died on December 31, 1976.

Phyllis enjoyed time with her family, reading, bingo and attending Mass at Saint Mary’s Church.

In addition to her husband, Bernard, she was predeceased by siblings, Paul, Leonard, and Armand Landry; Theresa Austin; and Lorraine LeBlanc.

She leaves her sons, Michael J. Cincotta and his wife, Nancy, of Billerica; Kenneth J. Cincotta and his wife, Jennifer, of Palm City, Florida; and Brian A. Cincotta and his partner, Emilia, of Worcester; her grandchildren, Amanda Dunham (Matt), Craig Cincotta (Kait), Dominic and Ava Cincotta; her great-grandchildren, Brooks, Walker, and Leo; her sister, Toni Landry of Waltham; in-laws, Gloria Collins (William), Robert Cincotta (Joanne), all of Billerica, Rosemary Dionne (Ronald) of Canton, Beverly Sullo of Georgia, Michael Cincotta of San Francisco, California, Barbara McCarthy and Gerry Fogg, both of Waltham; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend and caretaker, Elaine Hay.

Family and friends will honor and remember Phyllis' life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, November 8th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
