Mrs. Phyllis M. (Casaccio) D’Addario, of Plymouth, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. She was 77.
Phyllis was born on August 2, 1945, a daughter of the late Edward and Marion (Lombardi) Casaccio, and was raised in Everett and in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School.
Following her marriage to New Jersey native Richard M. D’Addario († November 8, 2012), the couple made Waltham their lifelong home before moving to Plymouth in 2011. Prior to starting her family, Phyllis was a retail buyer for Jordan Marsh.
Phyllis and Richard traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. She enjoyed rounds of golf with her husband and with friends, and shopping trips were always on the agenda. Talented at home decorating, her skills were in great demand.
In addition to being a terrific wife and mother, the role she prized more than any other was being beloved the ‘Nana’ to her four grandchildren. She attended every one of their activities with eagerness and a smile and cherished time spent with each of them.
She leaves her children, Jennifer L. Farrell (Ryan) of Waltham and Samantha L. D’Addario (John Martellucci) of Watertown; her grandchildren, Jack and Grace Farrell and Luke and Isabella Martellucci; her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and June D’Addario of North Port, Florida; and several nieces and nephews, including Angela Lee of Malden, and many dear friends.
Phyllis was also a sister of the late Marilyn Lee, Josephine Camella (late James) and Edward Casaccio (late Marie).
Family and friends will honor and remember Phyllis’ life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Thursday, December 8th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
