Phyllis M. Miele

Watertown - Mrs. Phyllis M. (Scacciavillani) Miele, of Watertown, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 in Maristhill Nursing Home, Waltham. She was 83.

Phyllis was born on February 22, 2013 in Everett, a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Morash) Scacciavillani. She was raised in Malden and had lived in Watertown for over fifty years. She was a member and past president of the Waltham Garden Club and a member and historian of the New England Wood Carvers Club.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, June Miele, of Waltham; her son, George Miele and his wife, Eleanor, of Watertown; her grandson, Anthony Miele and his wife, Amy, of Woburn and her great grandchild, Anthony Miele, Jr.

She was the sister of the late Bill Villani.

Family and friends will honor and remember Phyllis' life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, July 24th, at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Patrick's Church, 212 Main Street, Watertown, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the Maristhill Activities Fund, 66 Newton Street, Waltham, MA 02453 or to the American Cancer Society, 43 Nagog Park, Suite 110, Acton, MA 01720.
