Waltham - Mrs. Polyciana Jean Philippe, of Waltham, died Monday, October 10, 2011 in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. She was 84.
She was born in Haiti daughter of the late Lahens and Tercy (Coriolan) Casimir and immigrated to the United States in 1994, settling in Waltham to be near her family.
Polyciana, known to her loved ones as "Mama Zoule" was predeceased by her husband, Anazae Jean Philippe and her child, Lissette Jean Philippe.
She leaves her children, Renel Jean Philippe in Haiti, Yanick Jean Philippe Dely, Frankel Jean Philippe, Ruislet Jean Philippe, Amos Jean Philippe and Oberge Jean Philippe, all of Waltham; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mama Zoule's life by gathering for calling hours in New Covenant Church of Cambridge in Waltham, 527 Main Street, Waltham, on Friday, October 14th, from 5 to 9 p.m. and again at 9:00 a.m.on Saturday morning when her funeral service will be held. Burial will follow in Mount Feake, Waltham.
