Waltham - Mrs. R. Norma (Comeau) Madden of Waltham died Friday March 11, 2011 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 84.
Norma was born in Waltham on May 19, 1926, a daughter of the late Amedee and Claudia (Boudreau) Comeau and had been a lifelong resident of Waltham. She worked for many years as a cashier at AAA Supermarket in Weston and had also worked several years at the Waltham Watch Factory. In her spare time she enjoyed bingo and knitting.
Norma was the wife of the late Robert J. Madden who died April 13, 1996.
She leaves two daughters, Kathleen A. Madden of Foxborough, and Cheryl A. Woods and her husband, Cameron, of Framingham, her brother, Raymond Comeau of California, her sister, Claudette O’Rourke and her husband, Owen, of Framingham, her grandchildren, Jonathan and Ryan Badger, Zachery Woods and Stephen Spratt and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Norma’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte.20), Waltham on Wednesday March 16th from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham
