Waltham - Mr. Randall D. Jacobs, of Waltham, died Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 49.

Randy was born in Long Beach, California on August, 24, 1957, and moved to Waltham when he was 12 years old. He graduated from Waltham High School in 1975 and from Northeastern University in 1981. He was a member of the football team at both schools and was inducted into the Waltham High School Football Hall of Fame. He earned a masters degree in business from Bentley College in Waltham and had been the general manager of the Pro/Mark division of Illinois Tool Works, Inc. at their Manchester, Connecticut office.

He was an avid reader and traveled extensively. Randy had also been involved with fundraising for several years for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Randy leaves his wife, Mary Jane (Anderson) Jacobs; his children, Christie J. Lucente and her husband, Donald M., Randall R. Jacobs, Jeanne A. Jacobs and Andrea M. Jacobs, all of Waltham; his parents, Richard P. and Edith F. (Delpine) Jacobs of Waltham; four brothers, Richard Jacobs of Bolton, Ronald Jacobs of Uxbridge, R. Joseph Jacobs of Damariscotta, Maine and Robert Jacobs of Walpole; his father and mother in-law, Richard and Anna Anderson of Waltham and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Monday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m.
