Newton – Mr. Raymond E. McMillen, Sr., of Newton, died Thursday, December 7, 2006 in his home. He was 87 Born in Somerville, a son of the late John E. and Florence B. (Moore) McMillen, Ray worked for many years as a mechanical engineer for the Arthur D. Little Corporation in Cambridge. Ray served with the United States Navy during World War II. He leaves his wife, Mary E. (Welch)McMillen; his children, Raymond E. McMillen, Jr. of Wellesley, Daniel J. McMillen of Taunton, Richard J. McMillen of Newton, Donald E. McMillen of Waltham, John M. McMillen of Bradenton, Florida, Robert P. McMillen and M. Patricia McMillen, both of Fall River; one sister, Virginia Casler of Syracuse, New York; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington Street, Newton at 10: 30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials donations may be made to Newton Special Athletes, Attn: Mark Kelly, 70 Crescent Street, Auburndale MA 02466 or to the Barry L. Price Rehab Center, 38 Border Street, West Newton, MA 02465.
