Regina A. "Jean" (Williams) Crosby

Waltham – Mrs. Regina A. "Jean" (Williams) Crosby, of Waltham, died Monday, June 27, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 90.

Jean was born on July 9, 1925 in Boston and was raised in East Boston. She was a graduate of Fitton High School in East Boston. In September, 1951 she married Robert E. Crosby, Jr., also from East Boston, in Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church.

The couple lived in Watertown for a short time before moving to Waltham in 1954 where they became active and lifelong members of Saint Jude Parish. Jean was a longtime member and a past secretary and treasurer of the Ladies Sodality at Saint Jude's.

Bob and Jean enjoyed sixty-one years of marriage until his death on March 2, 2013.

She leaves her children, Judith M. Crosby of Waltham and John R. Crosby and his wife, Karen, of Rochester, New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Ashley Crosby and Heather Arsenault; her great-granddaughter, Alexia Arsenault and many nieces and nephews.

Jean was also the grandmother of the late Alex Scott and sister of the late Anne Donovan.

Family and friends will honor and remember Jean's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, June 30th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
