Waltham – Mrs. Rena (Degregory) Frangello of Waltham died Monday, March 30, 2015 in the Epoch Senior Health Care Center in Weston. She was 81. Mrs. Frangello was born on October 10, 1933, a daughter of the late Ralph and Filippa (Metta) Degregory. She raised in Marlborough and had been a Waltham resident since 1955, until moving to the Epoch Senior Health Care Center.
Rena was a waitress at the Cottage Crest Restaurant in Waltham. After that, she worked in the banking industry, retiring in 1997 as the assistant manager for BayBank.
Rena loved to entertain and prepare meals for her family and friends. She was very active at the Waltham Senior Citizen Center.
Rena was the wife of the late Frank E. Frangello, the sister of the late Joseph Miele and Annmarie Robey, and the sister-in-law of the late William Cross .
She is survived by her children, Lisa Frangello and Michael Frangello both of Waltham and Laura Gerhard and her husband, Christopher, of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Kurt and Rachel Gerhard; her sisters, Mary Roskott of Norton and Arnelda Cross of Marlborough; her brothers, Francis Miele and his wife, Patricia, of Marlborough and Domenic Miele and his wife, Karen, of Bellingham and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Rena's life by gathering for calling hours on Thursday, April 2nd, from 4-7 pm in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham where her Funeral Service will be held at 7 pm. Burial will be private.
