Renan Monteza

Mr. Renan Monteza, of Waltham, died Saturday, January 13, 2024 in Lahey Clinic in Burlington after an illness. He was 91.

Renan was born April 14, 1932 in Cajamarca, Peru a son of the late Miguel and Josefina (Saavedra) Monteza. Raised and educated in Peru he married Francisca Hinojosa in 1958. They immigrated to the United States in 2011.

While in his native Peru, Renan worked in security at a hospital for 35 years and retired in 1987.

His hobbies and interests included: soccer, fixing stuff around the house, word search puzzles, watching action movies.

In addition to his wife, Francisca, he leaves his sons, German Monteza (Sandra Castillo, deceased) of Waltham, Segundo Monteza (Maria Monteza) of Elizabeth, New Jersey and Ronald Monteza (Josefina Rodriguez) of Lima, Peru; his grandchildren Daniel Monteza, Diana Muentes (Jose Muentes), Yvonne Monteza, Renan Monteza (Yurisbel Hernandez), Nataly Lopez, Bonny Monteza, Shirley Monteza, Sheyla Monteza, Fiorella Monteza, Angel Monteza.

His siblings: Lazaro (deceased), Javier (deceased), Rosa (deceased), Emilio (deceased), Miguel, Perpetua, Orlando (deceased), Raul (deceased).

Funeral services will be private.
