Renges S. Roumbakis

Renges S. Roumbakis of Waltham and formerly of Weston, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, at Meadow Green Nursing Home in Waltham. She was 87.

Born on June 1, 1937, in Baabdet, Lebanon, Renges was the cherished daughter of the late Assaad and Maria (Corbani) Salhab. She spent her early years in Lebanon, where she was raised and educated, before immigrating to the United States to begin a new chapter of her life. On July 17, 1960, she wed George M. Roumbakis, her devoted partner and the love of her life. Together, they shared 36 joyful years until his passing in 1996.

Renges was the heart of her family, a role she embraced with boundless love and grace, often expressed through her love for cooking and hosting gatherings for friends and family. She was a devoted and loving wife, an exceptional mother, and an adoring Sito to her grandchildren, her unwavering care and strength defined her as a person, a role model, and as the family’s matriarch. Her radiant smile could light up a room or provide comfort to a loved one when needed most. She was also a passionate traveler who delighted in every opportunity to explore the world, especially when it was alongside her family.

Renges leaves her daughter, Rosemarie Cacciatore and husband, Rick, of Waltham; her grandchildren, Gabriella, Anthony, and Julianna Cacciatore; her sister Mona Harouk; her brothers, Fr. Pierre Charles Salhab and Boulas Salhab, and many dear nieces, nephews, and their families. 

In addition to her husband, George and her parents, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Antoinette and Thomas Salhab.
