Framingham Mr. Richard E. Maloney, of Framingham, formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham. He was 79. He was the husband of M. Rita (Flanagan) Maloney. Born and raised in Newton, a son of the late Mark and Katherine (Joyce) Maloney, he lived there until joining the United States Navy during World War II. After his marriage in 1948 he moved to Waltham and lived there before moving to Framingham five years ago. For several years he worked as a parts manager for several Ford Motor Company dealerships in the area, and after that, worked for many years for the City of Waltham water department. Richard had been a member of the Elks Lodge in Waltham and in his spare time he enjoyed golfing. In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Marsha A. Notartomaso and her husband, Robert, of Nashua, NH, Richard E. Maloney, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Broken Arrow, OK, David T. Maloney and his wife, Kelly; Douglas M. Maloney and his wife, Deborah, all of Framingham, Michael P. Maloney and his wife, Rachel, of Alexandria, VA and Lori A. Maloney and her spouse, Rebecca Connelly, of Framingham; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Wallace, Philip, Charles, Paul, Mark and James Maloney, Mary Dennehy, Catherine Farrell, Doris Belocas and Helen Kelleher. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
