Dedham - Mr. Richard W. Storer, of Dedham, formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday May 6, 2008 in Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain. He was 87. Born and raised in Waltham, a son of the late Eugene L. and Hattie M. (Davis) Storer, Dick had lived in Dedham since 1955. Dick was Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds and then Plant Manager at Noble and Greenough School in Dedham for thirty-one years until his retirement in 1986 and continued to work part-time at Nobles until 1999. Dick enjoyed spending summertime in Duxbury since 1958. He was a 1939 graduate of Waltham High School and a member of the Graduates Association at the Noble and Greenough School. Dick served with the United States Army during World War II. Dick was the brother of the late Warren, Clarence, Robert, Paul, and Wilbur Storer, Bertha Leonard, Ruth Christianson and Ethel Tibbets, and brother-in-law of the late Alan Weeks. Dick leaves his wife, Barbara (Weeks) Storer; his children, Jeffrey B. Storer and his wife, Susan, of Sherborn, Richard D. Storer and his wife, Jane, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, and Susan I. Storer and her husband, Nicholas Morana, of Holliston; his brother-in-law, Norman Weeks of Waltham; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Andrew, Alicia, Molly, Nat, Sarah and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Remembrance and Celebration of Dick Storer's Life on Saturday, June 7th from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Richardson Gym at Noble and Grennough School, 507 Bridge Street, Dedham, MA 02026.
