Mrs. Rita E. (Biddy) Bryson, of Hudson, formerly of Waltham, died Monday, February 12, 2024 in Marlborough Hospital following a period of declining health. She was 77.
Rita was born in Waltham on July 20, 1946, a daughter of the late Amos and Grace (Ezell) Biddy. Raised in Waltham she began a career in the assembly department at Raytheon following high school. One of her best days came in 1964 when she married Joseph A. Bryson, Sr. in the former Saint Charles Church on Hall Street.
She loved country western music and would always sing along anytime one of her favorites came over the radio. A ‘homebody,’ Rita was a wonderful wife and mother and loved taking care of them. Her heart grew even larger when her six grandchildren came along; she cherished every minute spent with her beloved family. In addition Rita enjoyed cheering for all of the New England sports teams.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, the late Joseph A. Bryson, Jr.; and her siblings, the late Edward Biddy (Sally), Carol Gennaro (James), Joyce Burkett (Richard), Marie Snow (Richard), Jean Seigen, James Biddy, Ronald Biddy (Rel), and Beverly Gargone.
She leaves her husband of almost sixty years, Joseph A. Bryson, Sr., of Hudson; her children, Lisa Bryson of Hudson, Steven Bryson of Waltham, Ronald Bryson of Hudson, Sharon Bryson of Hudson, and Kevin Bryson (Linda) of Clinton; her grandchildren, Brandon, Alisha, Justin, Alexis, Brayden and Logan; her brother, Donald Biddy (Jayne) of Sterling; in-laws Herbert Seigen, Irene Biddy, and Charles Gargone; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
