Rita C. Burke

Waltham - Mrs. Rita C. (Greenwood) Burke, of Waltham, died Tuesday May 23, 2006 at Epoch of Weston. She was 91. Born and raised in Waltham, a daughter of the late William and Esther (Malone) Greenwood, Rita was treasurer for many years for P.E. Burke Moving and Storage of Waltham. She was the wife of the late Philip E. Burke and great-grandmother of the late Ashley Michelle Burke. She leaves her sons, Philip E. Burke and his wife, Joan of Waltham and Gerald A. Burke of Holliston; eight grandchildren, seventeen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Beth Eden Baptist Church, 84 Maple Street, Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Memorial donations may be made to Beth Eden Baptist Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
