Rita V. Cahill

Waltham - Miss Rita V. Cahill, of Waltham, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 in Saint Patrick's Manor in Framingham. She was 93. Born in Boston, Miss Cahill was raised and educated in Dorchester. She was a graduate of Girls Latin School, Class of 1932, and a graduate of Teachers College of the City of Boston, Class of 1936. Miss Cahill was a longtime resident of Waltham and parishioner of Saint Mary's Church in Waltham. She was a supervisor for the Registry of Motor Vehicles for many years until her retirement. Miss Cahill was the daughter of the late Michael and Nora (Broderick) Cahill and the sister of the late Mary Goodwin, John Cahill, Julie Cahill, and Joseph Cahill and leaves several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the Funeral Mass on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
