Rita V. Connearney

Mrs. Rita V. (Mullaly) Connearney, of Beverly Hills, formerly of Waltham, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in her home. She was 84. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Lawrence and May (O'Connell) Mullaly, Rita had lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Florida more than twenty years ago. She was a graduate of Waltham High School. Rita leaves her beloved husband of sixty-three years, Paul J. Connearney; her loving children, Lawrence Connearney and his wife, Linda, and Rosella Saia and her husband, Steven, all of Waltham, Patrick Connearney of Beverly Hills, Florida and Paul Connearney and his wife, Patricia, of Franklin; her cherished grandchildren, Keith Connearney, Eric Saia, Ashley Saia, Jessica Connearney and Suzanne and Morgan Dowd. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rita's Funeral Service at 7 p.m. Thursday in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Arc of Massachusetts, 217 South Street, Waltham, MA 02453.
