Miss Rita M. Lane, of Weston, formerly of Sudbury and Concord, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at home. She was 90.
Rita was born in Waltham on August 4, 1921 and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. She lived for over 4 years in Sudbury before moving to Concord where she lived for over 15 years. In 2009 she moved to Weston.
She worked as a secretary in the insurance industry for private companies. Previously, she worked for many years at the Registry of Motor Vehicles. Rita was a longtime communicant of the former St. Bernard Church, now Holy Family Parish, in Concord.
Rita is predeceased by her siblings, John D. Lane, Joseph M. Lane, Gerald F. Lane, Alice G. Lane and Mary Lane.
She is survived by nieces, Cheryl A. Robinson and her husband, George, of Hopkinton and Maureen Lane of Weston; great nieces and nephew, Heather Steinfield, Ashley Robinson and John Hands and a great grand nephew, Ian Steinfield.
Rita's family will gather privately for her Funeral Mass in Holy Family Church, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will be in Saint Bernard's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
