Rita J. Morin

Northborough – Mrs. Rita J. (Howley) Morin, of Northborough, died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Coleman House in Northborough. She was 82.

Rita was born in Waltham on December 4, 1930, a daughter of the late Leonard F. and Mary (McHugh) Howley. She had been a Waltham resident before moving to Northborough twelve years ago.

She was a 1948 graduate of Waltham High School and married Island Pond, Vermont native Stanley R. Morin in 1953. Stan and Rita lived all of their married life in Waltham where they enjoyed forty-eight happy years together until Stan's death on July 21, 2001.

Rita leaves her sister, Mary E. Doherty of Marlborough; her niece, Kathleen M. Desjardins; her grandniece, Krysti Hoisington and her husband, Jeffery and her great grandniece, Lila Hoisington.

She was also the sister-in-law of the late Francis M. Doherty.

Family and friends will honor and remember Rita's life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 19th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
