Rita A. Olivieri

Waltham - Miss Rita A. Olivieri, of Waltham, died Monday, March 29, 2010 at Epoch Senior Healthcare Center in Weston. She was 89.

Rita was born in Newton on February 26, 1921, a daughter of the late Felice and Mary (Brigandi) Olivieri, and had been a Waltham resident since 1952. Until her retirement in 1983 she had worked for fourteen years as a clerk for Arkwright Insurance Company.

She leaves two sisters, Vera Schiff of Waltham and Frances Joy of Milton and many nieces and nephews.

Rita was also a sister of the late Lucy Bell, Evelyn Collura, Mary Frongello, Felix, C. Anthony, and Sarah Olivieri.

Family and friends will honor and remember Rita’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
