Rita M. Surette

Weston – Miss Rita M. Surette of Weston died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. Born in Fitchburg, a daughter of the late Silfred and Amanda (Gauvin) Surette, Rita lived in Waltham before moving to Weston thirty-nine years ago. Until her retirement, she worked at Unitrode in Watertown. Rita was a longtime member of Saint Julia’s Parish in Weston where she was a member of the Sodality and the Choir. She was also an active member of the Weston Council on Aging where she participated in their music programs and other activities. She leaves her sister, Emma M. Surette of Weston; her brother, Leo J. Surette of Medfield and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Gerald E., Raymond L., Joseph A. and Jeannette M. Surette. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Saturday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Julia’s Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston Center, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Weston.
