Robert T. Carney

Mr. Robert T. Carney, of Waltham, died on Wednesday July 24, 2019. He was 83 years old.

Bob was born in Waltham on May 4, 1936, the son of the late Louis W. and Mary E. (Cahill) Carney. After graduation from Waltham High School he spent five years serving in the U.S. Army National Guard. Before his retirement he had worked for many years as a department manager at Sears and Roebuck Company. In his spare time he enjoyed travelling whenever possible and was also a faithful parishioner of St. Charles Church on Hall Street.

He is survived by his siblings, Louis W. Carney Jr. (Moira) of Framingham, Gerald F. Carney (Diane) of York, Pennsylvania, Ellen C. Cahill (Thomas) of Corona, California and Donald A. Carney (Lois) of Weston and also leaves many nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 10 a.m. before his Funeral Service which will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
