Waltham – Mr. Robert W. Comeau, Jr. of Waltham, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 83.

Bob was born in Waltham on January 17, 1932, the son of the late Robert W., Sr. and Edna (Cormier) Comeau, and had been a lifelong resident. He was a 1951 graduate of Saint Charles High School and served with the United States Army during the Korean War.

Until his retirement Bob worked for twenty years as a business agent for the Cab and Allied Transportation division of the Teamsters Union. Before that he drove a cab for a number of years in Brookline and in Boston.

He leaves his sister, Doris M. Donovan of Waltham.

Bob was also the brother of the late Elaine E. Comeau.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering to visit at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning, February 25th, in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.

Memorial donations may be made to the Waltham Council on Aging, 488 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02452.
