Waltham - Mr. Robert A. Cusick of Waltham died Thursday, June 16, 2005 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 46. Born in Brighton, a son of Sarah E. 'Sally' (Parnell) Cusick of Waltham and the late William R. Cusick, he was a lifelong resident of Waltham. He worked for many years as the parking clerk at the Treasurer's Office at Waltham City Hall. He graduated from Waltham High School in 1977 where he was a star football and hockey player and from Framingham State College in 1981 where he also played for four years on the football team and for two seasons with the hockey team. For the past four years Bob was assistant hockey coach for the Waltham High School hockey team. Before that he served in the same capacity with the UMass Boston hockey team for three seasons and for eighteen years at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. He had also been elected to the Massachusetts Hockey Coaches Hall of Fame. Bob also worked for twenty years for the security department at Fenway Park and most recently tended bar at the Baseball Tavern on Boylston Street in Boston. In addition to his mother, he leaves his wife, Dana M. (Gentile) Cusick; his son, Jackson R. Cusick and step-daughter, Jessica C. Zimbone, both of Waltham; one brother, William R. Cusick, Jr. and his wife Dorie Krawiec of Sudbury; one sister, Sarah E. Curley and her husband Sean of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Tuesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Main Street, Waltham.
