Waltham – Mr. Robert F. Dennison, of Waltham, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Epoch Senior Healthcare Center in Weston. He was 75.
Bob was born in Waltham on October 24, 1936, the youngest son of the late John and Lillian (Smith) Dennison. He was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Waltham Vocational High School. He served for eight years with the U.S. Army National Guard and was a longtime member of the American Society of Military Insignia Collectors.
Until his retirement he worked as a machinist foreman for Custom Fabricators on River Street and later at Tholden and Son on Lexington Street.
Bob is survived by his wife, Virginia R. (Connelly) Dennison; his sons, Robert W. Dennison and Ronald W. Dennison, both of Waltham; his brother, John L. Dennison of Medfield and several nieces and nephews.
He was also a brother of the late William and Paul Dennison.
Family and friends will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, July 27th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to The Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
